Why do many people walk through a park on Sundays with their partners or friends? Firstly, because many people walk through a park on Sundays – mass attracts mass, as not only physicists but also brand sociologists call it. Secondly, something is at work that is psychoanalytically referred to as the “power of imagination”: while we walk through the park, we tell each other about everything we still “want to do”: the special trip to Myanmar – after the end of the military dictatorship, of course – the Italian language course, further training, perhaps even buying our own, always “small” rustico, which of course needs to be renovated…
In our conversations in the park, we cambodia rcs data often talk about a reality that we dream of. Why do we do that? Certainly because it is our wish, maybe even our dream, but even more so because "imagining" and "talking about it" relieves us of the burden of actually realizing it. By making plans, and gives us a good feeling. It relieves the burden. Very few ideas are actually realized: we'll go to Mallorca, we'd rather watch Netflix and not learn Italian, and the rustico falls into disrepair in a mountain village... That's not a bad thing, because just imagining makes life easier and more beautiful.
What we have imagined becomes almost real
