Metr wins the Smart Country Startup Award

Metr has convinced the audience at the Smart Country Convention and received this year's Smart Country Startup Award in the Smart City category . The Smart Country Startup Award, worth 5,000 euros, is the innovation prize for young companies with outstanding solutions for the public sector and is awarded by Get Started, the startup initiative of the digital association Bitkom. Metr from Berlin has set itself the goal of making the management of living space more efficient and sustainable - with the help of data-driven facility management.

To this end, metr is developing the intelligent middle east gambling data building management platform for the housing industry, which is based on big data and artificial intelligence, and connects the many isolated solutions in the field of smart building. "Digital technologies can make our cities smarter and thus improve the quality of life. Metr impressed the audience with a solution that not only relies on innovative technologies, but can also be used immediately," says Jenny Boldt, Head of Startups at Bitkom. "The approximately 100 applications for this year's Smart Country Startup Award prove that there is no lack of ideas and offers, but that too often the public sector and founders have not yet come together."

In addition to the prize money of 5,000 euros, Metr will receive a free Get Started membership. A total of around 100 startups applied with their innovative ideas and solutions in the two categories of e-government and smart city. The award in the e-government category was given yesterday to SoSafe from Cologne. The Smart Country Startup Award is supported by Messe Berlin and Smart City Berlin.
