Pieces of white plywood stand on brackets, pressed against the wall with shelves. They protect the wall from splashes from the sprayer and serve as reflectors of light.

each with one standard lamp and one "flora". For ease of hanging, Novy Svet screwed hooks into the standard mounting holes of the lamps. The lamps are suspended on chains, which in turn hang on hooks screwed into the top shelf (the hooks cost pennies and are screwed in in seconds).

Each pair of lamps is connected to one plug, and self employed data not all the light is always needed, switches were installed. Thus, three pairs of lamps with switches are connected to a socket timer through a tee.

Shelves for seedlings on the windowsill
Nadezhda Afan has been using a collapsible shelving unit for many years. Its advantages: it is compact, can be disassembled at the end of the season and takes up little space for storage.

The rack consists of three boards 20 mm thick, 15-20 cm wide, 60 cm long. There are holes in the boards on four sides, and chains are attached to them. The length of the chains is calculated using the formula above: so that seedlings can be placed under the bottom board of the rack and a fluorescent lamp can be attached, which rises and falls depending on the growth of the seedlings. The chains are put on hooks screwed to the window block. At the end of the season, the rack is disassembled, and the hooks remain.

A design that does not spoil the window
Stability is one of the criteria for a quality seedling rack. In order for the structure to hold firmly, it is usually attached to the window sill or to the window block, as Nadezhda Afan did. But sometimes it is a pity to make holes in a good plastic window. This is the solution Eleni found for this problem.
