Entrepreneur Vanessa Castro of RR Design is the special guest on the latest episode of the program Elas em Foco (Women in Focus). Hosted by Rosi Luck, 2nd Vice President of ACIL and Superintendent of the CME, the program is an initiative of the Council of Women Entrepreneurs (Conselho da Mulher Empreendedora) that aims to highlight the work of female entrepreneurs from Limeira.
From the interior of Paraná, Vanessa arrived in Limeira in 2001 to study nursing and, as a way to earn a living in the city, began working in retail, where she learned and the ability to serve as the foundation for successful entrepreneurship. "When you start serving, you also begin to master the art of entrepreneurship," she comments.
Later, while she was working at RR Design, her bosses, Raul and Raquel, who email list gave the store its name, decided to put the company up for sale, and Vanessa made an offer to buy it in 48 installments, a proposal she herself describes as bold.
"If I sell them a certain amount, I'll definitely sell much more for myself," she thought.
And it was with this mindset that, even facing the pandemic, Vanessa paid off four years of debt in just one, and transformed RR Design into a benchmark in the furniture market in the region, with clients even from the capital.
"Start where you are, but with a dash of boldness, because if fear paralyzed me, I wouldn't be where I am today," she concludes.
