A couple from the Tambov region breed lobsters

In the village of Nikolskoye, near Znamenka, an enterprising family took up lobster breeding. In a year, the population grew from 6 individuals to several hundred.

The Glazunov family has been breeding these exotic animals for a relatively short time. But the headcount is already in the hundreds. The lobsters occupy two pools and two aquariums.

Darya Glazunova, entrepreneur: “They carry their eggs for about 1.5 months on average. Well, some carry them longer, some carry them shorter – it varies by a week. At first, the eggs are bright orange, and then they stretch out into a droplet. Then two black dots start to appear on this droplet. These are the future eyes. And then a crustacean starts to emerge from this droplet.”

The crustacean crawls out from under the mother's tail in two or three days, and then they are separated into different aquariums. The ideal temperature for keeping lobsters is 28 degrees. They feed on steamed grain, and cryptocurrency database the babies also eat bloodworms. They need a lot of air, which is why the aquarium needs algae. When the electricity is turned off, and with it the filtration system, the baby lobsters climb onto them and breathe air from the surface.

Anatoly Glazunov, entrepreneur: “What are their personalities like? – They are mean by nature. They don’t like it when you hold them like that. Well, when they sit on your hand, they become calmer. But you always have to hold on to their claws.”

It is interesting and at the same time, if you are not used to it, a bit creepy to watch a lobster molt. At first it may seem that the animal is not feeling well, but in fact it is changing its shell. If it does not manage to do so in a certain amount of time, it will simply be eaten. Such is the difficult fate of crustaceans.
