What if I mix http and https?

Don't worry, past logs will not be erased even if you change http to https.

For sites that use both http and https, both the property settings and view settings president email lists can be either http or https.

This is because the http and https parts are not related to Google Analytics tracking.
Tracking is the mechanism by which Google Analytics collects data on website access. When collecting data, the URL is used to distinguish each page being analyzed, but tracking only uses the latter part of the URL, "xxx.html", and ignores the http and https parts .
Since the http and https parts are not used for data collection, switching to https will not affect access analysis.

However, the display of Google Analytics will change when you switch to https. For example, the image below is a screenshot of the analysis results for each page (Behavior → Site Content → All Pages), and there is a link icon to the right of each URL in the "Page" column. Clicking on this will take you to the page being analyzed. This means you can check which page has the highest number of views.

The URL that this icon links to is the URL that you set in 2) View Settings above. In other words, you need the URL when checking the analysis results, so you need to make the URL https in the settings .
