Enjoy the feeling: vocabulary of the 5 senses in English

Today we are going to have another vocabulary lesson, this time related to the 5 senses and the things we can perceive through them. Enjoy the feeling!




Sight: sight or vision

Some useful adjectives to describe the things we see:

Clear : clear, easy to see.
Blurry/blurred : blurred.
Dim : gloomy, dark.
Bold/vivid : vivid, with strong colors.
Pastel : pastel, light-colored.
Drab : dull, with few colors.
Discoloured : faded (due to dirt, the passage of time, etc.)
Stained : stained.
Glowing : bright.
Flickering : flickering.
The ear: hearing
Someone who is "hard of hearing" is hard of hearing , while someone who has a deaf ear is called deafness . Someone who has an ear for music has an ear for music , but if they can't hear anything in that sense they are tone-deaf.
