A business website is any website that is dedicated to presenting a specific business. It should be branded as the business (same logo and positioning) and communicate the types of products and/or services that the business offers.
It is recommended, even mandatory, for every business to have a website. Any potential customer will simply know that if your business is discoverable on Google, it will be easier for them to communicate and thus the business will look professional.
E-commerce websites are business websites, but it is also possible to have business websites that do not sell anything directly, but rather encourage visitors to contact you for more information (a lead generation website) or come into a store if they are interested in becoming a customer.
Blog
When blogs first appeared, they were usually a personal site part time data with a stream of thoughts on a topic or the blogger's life. Like most things on the internet, they have evolved and now combine the simple blogging function with brand sponsorships, product reviews, products related to the site (t-shirts, mugs, etc.), and services.
A blog that does these things and uses targeted advertising can be a source of income for a popular blogger. And with regular revenue, it’s much easier to justify the time spent maintaining the site and creating new content.
Blogs can be built with code, made with website builders, or many creators choose to use the most popular blogging tool – WordPress.
Information site
This type of site is suitable for charities, non-profit groups and local authorities. If your company needs to provide information online for service users, you need a well-organized site with a structure that is easy to follow on all devices and for all users. Other considerations, such as accessibility, may also need to be included in your resume.
Personal website
Not all websites exist to generate income in one way or another. Many people find value in creating personal websites to express their own thoughts to the world. This category includes personal blogs, vlogs, and photo diaries that people share.
Sometimes these websites can turn into something that actually makes money if they become popular enough and if the person who started them wants to make that change. Overall, they exist primarily as a way to share your feelings, emotions, and insights with any friends and strangers who might be interested.
Brochure websites are a simplified form of business websites. For businesses that know they need an online presence but don't want to invest heavily in it (perhaps you're confident that you'll continue to get the majority of your business from other sources), a simple brochure site that includes just a few pages that lay out the basics of what you do and provide contact information may be enough for you.
