Optional questions increase conversion

You've probably seen some landing pages ask for information about the visitor's city of residence because there is a "special offer" for certain regions, such as a free consultation or a discount. And even if this step is optional, it creates a sense of interest in the company's customers, and the user is more likely to stick around and provide other information about themselves.
This is what happened with the landing page of the Namify france phone number data company, the first step of which was a question about the city of residence (zip code):
Namify
Conversion rates increased by 311 percent, with 74 percent increase in the number of leads and 73 percent decrease in cost.
You can try a similar tactic by asking visitors simple personal questions or finding out their preferences regarding your product or service.
Bonus tip
Make sure your multi-step form is sufficiently motivating for the user to provide their real contact information. Often people enter incorrect information in order to get the desired answer from the company. Let them be sure: they have a chance to find out something only if you can get through to them (and do not forget to provide them with the phone number from which the call is made).
