The e-health sector, a great opportunity for telecommunications engineers

The technological revolution, which has been going on for more than ten years, has also brought about important transformations in the health sector, which – like the rest of the sectors – has been forced to digitalise its procedures to adapt to the new needs demanded by citizens. In this sense, the great changes in e-health have occurred in the field of communications between healthcare personnel and the patient, which is why telecommunications engineers have become a key element in the change.

In fact, a few months ago the GT e-health working group of the Official College of Telecommunications Engineers (COIT) published a study that shows how, in recent years, there has been a significant increase in the demand for these rcs data qatar to work in the e-health sector . Specifically, the cities of Madrid and Valencia are those that concentrate the largest number of Telecommunications engineers dedicated to this field, although the rest of Spain's territories are also joining the trend and generating business opportunities for these profiles.

The report, which can be downloaded in full here , also shows that around 50% of engineers working in e-health are between 31 and 40 years old and that the three main employers are the University, which accounts for 29.6% of new hires, multinational technology companies, with 25.9%, and local technology companies (17.3%), regardless of their size. In addition, the conclusions of the document show that the majority of contracts in this sector, 67.9%, are permanent.

As for the salary of telecommunications engineers working in e-health, there is no precise data to quantify it, although 21% of those surveyed acknowledge that it is in the range of 34,001 to 44,000 euros (equivalent to the average salary of a senior telecommunications engineer, with two years' experience), and 18% in the range of 18,001 to 24,000 euros (equivalent to the average salary of a recent graduate).
