Switzerland is one of the countries best prepared for work and, therefore, it becomes one of the preferred destinations for many Spaniards in search of job opportunities. This was the case of David García, a young Catalan who one day decided to take the reins of his future, to open the game and not to keep waiting for the economic situation to take a positive turn. His effort and dedication opened the doors to the Alpine country, renowned for its high standards of living. From there, David tells us how he prepared for this change, the pros and cons of emigrating and the need to continue setting new challenges.
When and why did you decide to emigrate?
I decided to emigrate at the beginning of 2011. After rcs data switzerland years of crisis, I had seen enough. Things were only going to get worse, so before anyone decided for me, I made the decision to try my luck abroad. One of the best choices of my life.
Did you prepare in any special way for this trip?
I found out everything I could on the Internet. The cost of living, taxes, health insurance, geography of the country, contacts with other Spaniards in Switzerland . All information is good and it is never enough. Once here you come across many other unforeseen events that you have to resolve on the spot.
