Content syndication in our region has not been properly exploited, in fact, if you consult some sources in Spanish, you can notice that we have remained in the past with the use of RSS to promote content.

And what happens with this type of strategy is that they have been left out of the changes that Panda suggested at the time, because the technical configuration was not respected by this type of website.

However, to implement content syndication, you don't necessarily have to resort to copying and pasting your content to third-party websites, let alone promoting it via RSS.

In fact, syndication in Latin America is being applied differently, you can look at how Innokabi has done it:

Content Syndication - Innokabi Example
Innokabi is not recycling content and offering its blog posts on third-party websites, it is just using channels external to its main website to attract social traffic, and that is also syndicating content.

That is, they create a text as a kind of introduction and then immediately link to the original source, which of course, is a post of theirs on their website.

As I mentioned at the beginning, content syndication may vary depending on the policies of the syndicators (third-party websites) and the agreements you reach with them.

There have been cases where they use the classic 303 redirect so that all the traffic that falls on a third-party website lands on their blog.

But of course, that type of strategy for syndicating content does not provide the best experience for the reader and, therefore, can have an adverse effect, however, at some point it was used and was valid.

You can also use channels that function as “search engines” such as Medium, Tumblr, Reddit, and even Pinterest to promote your content and attract social traffic from channels that are likely to contain part of the audience you want to reach.

Pinterest has a particularity that few people in our region know about, and that is that it is currently functioning as a visual search engine through the activity of “pinning” (posting content).

In Spain, for example, it is highly valued and is the 6th most used and most widely used socia email database marketing swiss l network, according to the study carried out by IAB Spain in 2017.

LinkedIn is also a good place to syndicate content, especially now that it is becoming part of the branding strategies of companies that want to gain a space in the digital environment.

As you can see from examples like Innokabi, in LATAM we are using content syndication to reach a well-segmented audience and for this to become qualified traffic for our website, which could be interested in our services or products.
