Sports monitoring with Garmin Lily 2 Active

Post by Rina7RS »

While the Garmin Lily 2 Active also adds improvements to the Lily line’s sports tracking capabilities, it’s still a smartwatch designed for women who want to live an active and healthy lifestyle. It’s not for women who are serious about sports and need professional-grade tracking of their fitness activities. However, built-in GPS tracking improves accuracy when tracking activities like outdoor running or cycling, and the stats you get at the end of your workout are more reliable. In my opinion, this is a welcome improvement, and I hope we don’t see another smartwatch from Garmin without built-in GPS. No matter how niche it is.

Sports tracking is improved with built-in GPS

Like its predecessor, the Lily 2 Classic, the Lily 2 Active has indonesia telegram data a well-designed Dance Fitness tracking profile that covers a variety of dance styles, including Zumba, Afrobeat, Bollywood, EDM, hip-hop, pop, jazz, and cardio dance. The smartwatch also introduces new tracking profiles for tennis, golf, skiing, and snowboarding — activities that weren’t available on previous Lily models.

However, the range of sports that can be tracked remains limited compared to what competitors offer. For example, I was unable to track a recent hike with the Garmin Lily 2 Active. Ironically, during that hike I encountered numerous women who were using their smartwatches to track their activities. This limitation seems especially arbitrary, since the Lily 2 Active has all the necessary sensors for basic hiking tracking.
