@Connect
Connect, accessible via the @Connect button in the gray bar at the top, is the section where you can – as Twitter puts it – ‘get in on the conversation’. You can choose links from a stream with only mentions (tweets in which you are mentioned) or opt for the stream interactions . Interactions shows you what actions other people have taken, in relation to you and your tweets. So you can see who has followed you, who has retweeted you or who has favorited one of your tweets. This way you can keep track of your ‘impact’ on Twitter. @Connect is essentially the ‘old’ @username stream.

#Discover
Discover is the most innovative feature. Discover gives you a stream of useful and fun information, based on your location, the language you speak, who you follow, which topics you follow, which hashtags you use and of course what's happening in the world. The more you use Twitter, the better the feature gets at selecting information that is specifically interesting to you. Discover also tells you more about new or trending #hashtags and you can find your Activity stream; the overview of who people you follow are going to follow, what they mark as a favorite, retweet, what they respond to and so on. 'Simplicity meets serendipity'.

New profile
Finally, Twitter has also renewed the personal profile. You can reach this via the so-called 'me tab', the person icon at the top right in the gray bar. The new profile puts the user and his interests first, according to Twitter. Others can canada phone number list send you a tweet directly via your profile, view your lists, see your favorites, your photos and videos and more. In fact, the same information that was available in the old profile, but presented in a nicer way. You can also manage your direct messages via this 'me' tab.

The verdict?
In addition to Twitter.com, Tweetdeck and the iPhone and Android apps have also been renewed. Although the new design of Twitter.com has not yet been implemented for everyone, you can already try out the new apps . I especially like #Discover (in Dutch #Ontdekken). Much more inspiration than the 'trending topics', which I personally hardly ever clicked on. You can browse through categories (think humor, art, music, sports, Netherlands, Politics, news etc.), and view new stories that are relevant to you and your location.

Besides Discover, there are not many new features. Twitter has mainly organized existing functionalities in a different, smarter and more user-friendly way and has completely renewed the design. When I look at the screenshots and the video, I think the design of Twitter.com looks a lot fresher. The app has also become a lot more logical and fun in my opinion. It is also very nice that you can now see exactly who has retweeted you in the app. So in my opinion a nice change.
