Blogs and brands

Post by Bappy11 »

Also striking is the time that bloggers spend on their blog. 60% of respondents blog up to three hours a week, the rest (40%) blog more. 13% say they blog more than ten hours a week. The vast majority of respondents blog 2-3 times a week. Professional fulltime bloggers blog more often. 26% say they post a blog at least 3 times a day.

The general trend among bloggers is that they spent more time blogging in 2011 than in 2010 and wrote more blog posts. If there is less blogging, this is, just like last year, because more time is spent on social networks and microblogging.

This year, blogs are named the “media with the most influence on brands”. Compared to 2010, this is a big chile phone number list leap forward. Second and third on the list are conversations with friends and other social media respectively. It is striking that bloggers are regularly asked by brands to write about their product/service. This while most bloggers feel that they are seen as less professional by companies, compared to traditional media. What is also striking is that blogs are still the most influential with consumers when it comes to recommendations for products/services. Facebook is also, but less so. Twitter has even decreased in influence.

Inspiration for successful blogging
To get input for blog posts, bloggers use social media sites a lot (21 hours/week). Bloggers do not watch television very often.
