Dash, minus, hyphen - what's the difference

Post by bitheerani319 »

All of us use different symbols from time to time when writing text - dashes, hyphens, minuses, em dashes, etc. For example, did you know that all the signs below are completely different signs and can be used for different purposes:

In this article we will look at what each of the signs is for, where they can be used and what each sign means.

Dash sign. Where is it placed?
When is a dash used? A dash is used when colombia whatsapp data texts. Where is a dash used :

between the subject and the predicate the dash sign in sentences
with homogeneous members of the sentence
in a simple sentence when the predicate is omitted
in a non-union complex sentence
in direct speech.
If you try to write correctly, you can't do without the dash symbol. The dash can be long or short (both examples are presented in the table below).

The em dash symbol is a punctuation mark in the text, as well as a designation of direct speech. The dash is also called a sign of silence and pause, or the main dash. It has an artistic meaning and is necessarily separated on both sides by spaces. Example:

Hosting is a service for placing websites on servers.

The dash code is available from the table at the end of the article. Need to use a dash?

The en dash (little dash) is used to separate numerical ranges without using a space, for example, 25 – 30.

There are also double ⸺ and triple dashes ⸻ . Dash punctuation in this form is used extremely rarely.
