What is Google Tag Manager?

Post by sakibkhan22197 »

Just like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager (GTM) is initially just a simple JavaScript snippet that allows you to easily manage all HTML tags without having to ask IT for help every time. This makes Google Tag Manager an extremely helpful tool, especially for marketers. Because Google Tag Manager is an online interface (tagmanager.google.com), every team member can update the tags themselves without having to wait for a developer to make a code change. If you plan to use other technologies such as AdWords Conversion Tracking, Hotjar, or the Facebook pixel on your website for your marketing anyway, we recommend using Tag Manager for this purpose.

We've already described how to install the Tag Manager in WordPress in a previous article. We dominican republic phone number data now use the gtm4p plugin from Duracell Toni . This allows us to write the author's data to the data layer, which we can then read via GTM.

Five steps are necessary to exploit the author's name using Google Analytics.
Create a custom dimension in Google Analytics so you can add the data later.
Create a data layer variable in Google Tag Manager where the author of each page can be stored.
Connect the data layer variable from Tag Manager to the custom dimension.
Test the settings in preview mode
If everything works as expected, you can publish the container.
This may seem complicated at first, but once you gain some experience with the Tag Manager, Google Analytics settings, and the concept of data layers, it should be quite easy.

Creating a custom dimension in Google Analytics
You must have an administrator account to create custom blog post metrics in your account. Click the "Administration" button in the Google Analytics interface. Select the appropriate property and click the "Custom Definitions" menu item. Then click "Custom Dimensions."
