During F8 2019, an annual event that presents the latest developments in the “Facebook family”, programmer and entrepreneur Mark Zuckerberg announced that in the coming months WhatsApp Business will release a feature that allows retailers to present their catalog of products and services directly in the app, as a gallery that will be available on the profile of each company using the service.

Zuckerberg also spoke about the development of a tool that uk email list allows payments through WhatsApp. The example used during the event showed a conversation between a company and a customer. In the conversation, the customer requests delivery of the product and makes the payment without leaving the platform. This functionality is already being tested in India and, according to Zuckerberg, will be available in other countries by the end of this year. Through the new feature, any user will be able to make money transfers through the app, something that WeChat , which is dominant in China, already allows.

Instagram will also undergo major changes and become a strong ally for retailers. In addition to integrating a donation tool for charities and NGOs, the social network will also feature a “Shopping” tab, which will make it easier to buy products through the app. In addition, it will be possible to buy directly from influencers, simply by clicking on the image or stories of a product posted by them.

According to Zuckerberg, the aim of the changes is to give more space to small businesses that use social media to interact with their audience.
