The debate is on: what are the differences between Joomla and WordPress ? Which one is better? This post aims to be a humble contribution to try to shed some light on the matter.

Differences between Joomla and WordPress
Both WordPress and Joomla are content management systems that can be used to create amazing websites. Both are capable of extending their functionality through the use of plugins. These are the most notable similarities, but let's move on to the differences, which is what we are here for.

WordPress is easier to use and beginners can learn to use it without malaysia phone number list problems in a short time (at least at the user level), Joomla has a more complex structure so it is considered more suitable for people who already have a certain knowledge base.

WordPress and Joomla both have hundreds, I mean hundreds, thousands of themes available to customize the look of your site. WordPress has a theme directory, something that Joomla lacks (although if you search on Google you will find plenty of sites with Joomla themes). So let's say that both have a wide variety of themes available but that WordPress makes it easier to find the theme that you like.

As for plugins and extensions, both systems have a large number of free and paid plugins and extensions available. WordPress has more, but some of them don't do much and some haven't been updated in a long long time. Finding and installing extensions in Joomla is more expensive (time wise) than in WordPress. WordPress plugins can be edited while Joomla extensions mostly do what they do.
