What is Telegram?
At first glance, Telegram seems like a bad copy of WhatsApp. Same style, same design and (more or less) same functions. The user is identified by his or her phone number and the phone book is automatically synchronized and email database lists australia compared with the one on the application's servers. In this way, all the contacts already present in the Telegram "lists" will be added to the list of friends to whom you can send free messages. Even sending text - or images and videos - is perfectly similar to WhatsApp: receiving the message is confirmed by a check mark, viewing by a double check mark. As in WhatsApp, groups can be created etc.

All the same, then? Not quite.

Born in Berlin to Russian parents, Telegram bases its operation on an open source communication protocol developed specifically to minimize the amount of bytes sent for each message. This gives Telegram an initial advantage over other competitors: even in poor reception conditions, the Durov brothers' application allows you to send free messages in less time and receive them faster.

Unlike WhatsApp, Telegram is also a cross-platform application. a smartphone – Android and iOS – and with a computer. The Durov brothers' application, in fact, bases its operation on a cloud infrastructure that allows you to synchronize, read and send messages for free from various devices. The server infrastructure is not centralized but distributed: this means that each node in the network can be bypassed in the event of a malfunction.
