If we are advertising through Google Ads, and it is profitable, Bing gives us the opportunity to expand the reach of those campaigns and maintain or even increase that profitability, since in general, the CPCs in Microsoft advertising (the advertising platform in Bing) are lower.

Microsoft advertising allows you to import Google Ads campaigns directly, without having to create the campaigns from scratch, so you can take advantage of this tool without investing time in it.

Below, we'll guide you through how to import your campaigns to Bing quickly and easily. We'll also leave you with a mini tutorial, in case you'd prefer to follow the steps in video format.

Step 1
Once inside our Microsoft advertising account, we click on the “Create campaign” button. A tab will open, offering us several options for creating this campaign.

In this case, we are going to choose the option “Import from Google Adwords” (they do not have it updated to Google Ads).

There is also the option of downloading a CSV from Google Ads and jewelers email database importing it to Bing, but this would obviously take a lot more time.

Step 2
Once you have chosen the option to import from Adwords, you would have to log in with your Google Ads account. All the accounts that the email you have identified yourself with has access to would open there, and you would choose the corresponding one.

Once the account has been chosen, a tab will open with two options: “Import all campaigns” or “Import specific campaigns”.

Bing Import Options
We recommend that you import specific campaigns, and if you need them all, import them all, since in many cases, not all Google Ads campaigns make sense in Bing, since not all languages that Google has are available or the Shopping campaign type is not available for all countries. This way, you would avoid having useless campaigns in your Bing account.

Step 3
Win customers!
Once we have chosen the campaigns we want to import, a page opens with the import options, as we can see in the following image.

Bing Import Options
We have to choose the options that Bing offers us for this import. First, we can add UTMs to these campaigns that we are importing or we can unclick the option.

The next option is a drop-down menu where we can choose within the campaigns which elements we want to import and which ones we don't, since we may be interested in importing normal search ad groups, for example, and not importing DSA ad groups, for example.

Bing Import Options
The next option refers to the same thing, but for elements already imported previously, that is, for the updates we have made to these elements.

The following options allow us to import bids and budgets and modify them before importing. We can import them by increasing the budget by 10% or lowering the CPCs by 15%, for example, which is very useful, since as we mentioned before, advertising on Bing is a little cheaper than on Google Ads.

Bing Import Options
Finally, we have the “other options” that make our work much easier, in case we want to edit the landing pages; insert tracking templates (UTMs) easily; pause new imported campaigns or change their name.

The last option is to assign our Microsoft Merchant to Shopping campaigns imported from Google. This option only works for countries where you can create a Microsoft Merchant and obviously, you need to have created it previously to be able to associate it. This option is very convenient for those who want to import their entire Google Shopping structure to Bing.

Step 4
Once we have chosen all the import options, we have to choose when we want the import to take place, either at the same time or on a selected date. This last option is very interesting for those who make automatic changes in Google Ads to adapt the ads to Black Friday, for example, and want to import these changes to Bing at a future date.

Once we click on import, the process begins if you have selected import now or we have the scheduled import if you have indicated a future date.
