What is Mobile First?

Post by bitheerani319 »

Mobile-First is a Google algorithm that experts believe will be implemented from the beginning of 2018. This algorithm will give priority to websites with a version adapted to the use of mobile devices and tablets.
Before this algorithm, Google valued the experience offered by the australia phone number list in its “desktop” version, that is, the use on a computer.
But since the Internet user does not use the computer to browse, Google has decided to change its algorithms and start valuing the mobile version first, hence the name “mobile first”.
In order to index and rank a website in the SERP, it will first value the content offered in that version.
There are many websites that are already responsive and have the same design and content, both in mobile and computer versions (like the example you can see in the previous photograph), but not everyone is aware of the new stage that will come after the launch of the mobile-first algorithm.

What is the mobile-first algorithm?
If your website has the same content on both desktop and mobile, you won't notice any changes with the arrival of this new algorithm.
If so, Google won't penalize you, but you won't be very relevant to it. This doesn't mean that it will stop indexing you, you will go unnoticed in the eyes of Google, and this, as you can understand, is not too good.
Should we be scared by this?
It depends, because if your website is responsive, you shouldn't give it more importance than it deserves, but if our website is not adapted to the mobile experience, you should get to work as soon as possible, since this new algorithm is planned to be implemented at the beginning of 2018.

What responsive design factors help improve the positioning of my website or blog?
We already know the statistics, but these were easy to predict, since in our era, almost all of us are already a bit “addicted” to mobile phones and we hardly go anywhere without them.
With the backing of the statistics, it is time to be one of those who use a responsive design and even more so with the Mobile First algorithm on the way.
But what factors benefit us from the responsive model?

Good website usability from mobile devices ensures that users stay on the website longer.
If our website is not adapted for mobile use, browsing from that medium will not be very pleasant and, therefore, the user will most likely decide to leave early.
