What is Google Discover?

Post by bitheerani319 »

Google Discover is what was previously called Google Feed, in short it is a Google feature that consists of offering you content without you asking for it based on different sources.
You may not have even noticed because Android phones come with it as standard, but yes, Google has an app.
An app that can also be installed on an iOS system, so if you have a smartphone with one of the two most widely used mobile operating systems –by far– in our country, Google Discover is for you.
But let's focus on the phrase at the beginning, on the "without hungary phone number list asking for it", which has its own meaning.
Google's AI is now able to show you content of interest on your smartphone or tablet on its own, with complete autonomy.
In one fell swoop it has done away with the concepts of keywords, queries or search intentions, because in Discover there are no searches and without them the queries and keywords are meaningless.

How does Google Discover work?
To be blunt: Google Discover shows you content cards that the AI thinks might be interesting for you.
It can pull up practically everything: sports news, marketing, technology, travel…
And you can do very little to intervene, because although you can choose preferred categories and deactivate the sources that the AI feeds from, when it accesses all the information that the big “G” has about you, it already has a deep idea of what you like and what you don’t.

The sources AI looks at
Google is able to predict your searches and interests before you do by looking at information like this:

Your browsing history.
Your activity in places Google can access: email inboxes, app usage, Skype conversations, etc.
Your location history.
Information about your devices.
Additionally, you can help out and manually select the themes you like most from within the Google app, which is recommended if we decide to take advantage of this interesting functionality and do not try to remain oblivious to it.
