Manual Backlink Analysis and Disavow Tool

Post by shaownhasan »

The last important step we took was the analysis and subsequent cleaning of the backlink profile . The client's e-commerce was linked by several low authority domains and several guest post containers.

Since a previous automatic check of the backlink profile had been performed by the previous web agency that followed the project, I started by examining the results and considerations of this check.

As I analyzed and compared the link profile, I realized that only the backlinks from Google Search Console were taken into account , which only presents a sample of backlinks.

During my ten-year career as an independent SEO consultant , I have understood that when analyzing a backlink profile you need to be very accurate and recover data from as many sources as possible, especially when usefulness of self employed database faced with an algorithmic penalty that has such an impact on a site's traffic.

I therefore preferred to completely recreate the Link Profile, downloading the backlink data from the following sources (in addition to Search Console):

1. SEMrush: Go to Domain Analytics > Backlinks > Backlinks tab and click Export. Remember to select the "All links" option to get all the data.
