We all know them: annoying pop-ups on news websites that keep asking us to sign up for the newsletter. The question is how many users can actually be persuaded to complete a registration or whether the negative effects aren't greater. Now John Müller from Google commented in the Hangout on whether websites that constantly display overlays with a call to action before you see the content are penalized in the rankings. Google has been penalizing mobile interstitial advertising since 2017 - but how big is the impact on the rankings? John Müller explained that Google only takes the mobile version of the website into account. If the overlays appear there too, the interstitial penalty applies, says Müller. However, these are usually only slight degradations, so websites are not completely banned from the search results or moved back many pages. If the content is relevant, a website can still rank on page 1 of Google, albeit a few places lower than without the pop-ups.
Google could soon be available in dark mode on the rcs data pakistan desktop. A test phase is currently underway in which Google presents search results to some users in a different look. The background is black, the title and sitelinks appear in blue, and the description, URL and breadcrumb are in light gray. Users of the app have been able to display Google search results in dark mode since last year.
There has been an update to the display of structured product data: Google has added a section for price development. To get Google to display the price reduction of a product in the search results, you have to add an offer to the structured product data. Google then automatically determines the price reduction based on the prices that shop operators send to the search engine over time. The only important thing is that no price range is specified, but a fixed price. With this function, sellers can draw the attention of interested parties to products that they want to get rid of, as the discount is already visible in the Google search results. So far, the price reductions can be seen in the USA, both in the desktop and mobile view.
