Embarrassing product placements

Post by zihadhasan010 »

You have already learned about successful product placements. Now let's move on to the more inappropriate and embarrassing product placements:

My detergent and I
They caused ridicule and criticism: the Instagram influencer campaigns by Coral and Perwoll. The social media stars apparently didn't really know how to integrate the detergent discreetly into their everyday lives:

In the Coral marketing campaign under the hashtag #coralliebtdeinekleidung , not all influencers considered whether the product or brand was even right for them. For Coral, GZSZ star Jörn Schlönvoigt puts on his best grin and proudly shows his two detergents with the description "... even men can wash really well with these

But a bottle of detergent doesn't just want to be presented at home, it also wants to explore the world. That's what Instagrammer Kira Bejaoui thought and took her detergent outside for the Perwoll campaign #perwollchallenge .

Last but not least, we would like to show you a really funny example that pokes fun at the influencer and advertising mentality:

The typical setting for an influencer's Sunday post on Instagram is the bed. Whether it's with their new favorite coffee cup or the new detox tea that helps you lose 5kg in an hour: the best place to advertise is in a comfortable bed. This example takes aim at this type of product placement: fully dressed, made up and armed with a pen and paper for creative inspiration - the Sparkasse app "Kwitt" is of course a must.

This staging is also popular with influencers who advertise watches or jewelry, for example. Instead of a piece of jewelry, however, the smartphone with the Kwitt app is placed on the forearm. In the background you can see the map and old-school camera, which are a must for travel bloggers in particular.

Bizarre staging and intrusive product placements are made fun of in a wonderfully refreshing way .

But note : it is still product placement, because derbote_official is a self-staged influencer of the Sparkasse.

Conclusion – Product Placement
Product placement is a promising and widespread form of advertising for placing products inconspicuously and thus increasing brand awareness . The fact that product placements are socially acceptable is supported by the existence of the Product Placement Awards (APP), which were first awarded by industry experts in 2011.

As we have seen, there are many successful but also bizarre examples spain phone data from various media. Film productions that use advertising integration have been around for a long time, and product placements are also increasingly being used online and in the social media world. If you bring influencers on board as brand ambassadors, you can benefit from their high reach and popularity .

But be careful: if the brand and the influencer do not fit together, this can, for example, affect the image of both and deter or even fail to reach the target group .

Basically, advertising works when it is cleverly integrated into informative and entertaining content or actions.
